STIers Show Off Talents in PRISAA GenSan Area Meet 2017

As a platform for foregrounding talents and potentials, Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Gensan Area once again successfully fulfilled its purpose as private schools in General Santos City converged last November 30 to December 2. In this event, STIers shone and stood out amongst the competing schools.

STI College – General Santos won 1st runner up in the Overall Academic Competition.

Coached by William Cayanong Jr., CPA, Karen Doria won Champion in the Oratorical Competition.

In the Quiz Bowl competition, Aldric Arac, Jude Ryan Gayda, and Kristine Perez won 3rd Place, with the help of their coach, Vance Justine Catumal.

Mentored by Julius Ceasar Malabad, LPT, and Lovely Joy Cagas, Jassim Marvin Nuevo was crowned as Mr. PRISAA 2017 1st Runner Up, while Dessa Marie Leonerio was crowned as Ms. PRISAA 2017 2nd Runner Up.

Proving they are more than just beauty and brains, STIers also bagged awards in the sports competition.

Ian Kit Calandria, coached by Madsal Martinez, LPT, won 2nd Place in Lawn Tennis Men Single.

Mentored by Remuel Octavio, LPT, STI College – General Santos badminton players won 3rd Place in their respective categories: Francis John Tancinco for Badminton Men Single; Alfie Domingo and Ysagani Trespeces for Badminton Men Doubles and; Faith Frances Rabia and Michelle Cordero for Badminton Women Doubles.

STIers won 3rd Place in Volleyball Men, with the coaching of Alejandro Doronio, and 3rd place in Football, with the coaching of Cedie Jomahali.

In Athletics 400 Meter Dash, and Athletics 200 Meter Dash, Russel Vincent Pendon, coached by Razille Eden Fernandez, CPA, won 3rd Place.
